Oxygen Palace Project

The Oxygen Pavilion summarizes the geometric simplicity of the air bubble above water, an idea of natural balance of elements and shapes. The simple form, however, contains the internal complexity of a unique environment and open to any internal transformation, where the different installations allow the continuous change. The fifth exhibition insists on a small area of the environment allowing the presence of all the service rooms used for the activities; what remains is a single open space of 174 square meters usable in all parts and intended for educational activities and for listening to music.

The acoustic calculation parameters make it possible to verify the correct design not only with regard to solid geometry but also the choice of materials, and the optimization of the spaces. The listener must be first of all, immersed in an environment characterized by a vivid, clear, comfortable acoustics, he must perceive every single phoneme and appreciate any form of sound. Therefore, anomalous situations such as excessive reverberations, rumors and increases in background noise must be avoided.
